One, two, unbuckle my shoes!

Pop the bubbly! We received some fantastic news today from Wyatt's Orthopedist. We went in for his regular checkup with Dr. Lovejoy and he said his foot looks great! We have been very diligent about keeping Wyatt's shoes and brace on him 23 hours a day, as instructed. He is only allowed to take them off for baths and to go for a swim. He's been wearing them since he was about 10 weeks old and we're now on our third pair. Dr. Lovejoy is extremely pleased with the progress we've made and said Wyatt only has to wear them now during naps and nighttime. He gets to have them off all the time during waking hours! I was so thrilled when Dr. Lovejoy told us, it took every bit of restraint not to jump across the table and kiss him. Dayven promptly took them off and we went to lunch after his appointment. Wyatt happily kicked his bare feet and kept stopping to grab them or stare at them, marveling at his normally unseen toes. Wyatt is growing tired of having his feet bolted together 23 hours a day and will be all too happy to let someone else wear them for a while (as you can see on the right). Now he'll get to enjoy the summer barefoot like all the other babies and even wear the Robeez Aunt Nan "Gebby" sent him.
Hasta luego stinky shoes!
