Paperwork, paperwork and yes, more paperwork

You would not believe all the things we have to round up for this move. To obtain Davyen's work visa and temporary residence visas for the three of us, we must submit the following things:
  • Certified copies of our Birth Certificates
  • Passports
  • Certified Marriage License
  • 2 identical passport-type photos of each of us taken in the last 6 months - "expression neutral - not smiling, not frowning, with mouth closed" (this last one is going to be tough for Wyatt). Seriously, what do the Canadians have against emotions?
  • Dayven's up-to-date business resume
  • Copy of academic credentials - College diploma, not transcripts
  • Explanation of his job, work address and salary details

Those Canadians mean business! Good thing we are organized and could easily come up with most of these things. Dayven's diploma was MIA, but after an hour of rooting around in the storage room (and several accusations that I must have "done something with it"), we found it. Now, Wyatt and I are headed to Walgreens to take more photos. Let's hope Caterpillar can turn our visas around as quickly as they did Wyatt's passport. We really need them for our househunting trip in a couple of weeks.
