Rocky Mountain High
While my folks and brother were in town, Dayven and I jetted off to Colorado Springs for the weekend for the wedding of our friends, Heidi and Tim. Tim is a childhood friend of Dayven's - technically they were friends before they were born - since their moms were friends before their existence. They used to hang out together in the bowling alley daycare together back in the day. Tim moved out to Pittsburgh for a job a couple of years ago and when Dayven found out we were being transferred here, he called him. We were shocked to find that he lives just 5 minutes from our house! So we see him often and we adore his fiance (now wife) Heidi. We were so excited to be able to celebrate their big day. Dayven got to reconnect with his other childhood buddy Luke and we got to spend a little time with Luke's parents, Mark and Deb, as well. It was a whirlwind weekend with wedding festivities and pictures, but we had a great time. We drank a little too much at the reception and danced our hearts out. It's safe to say a good time was had by all. It was fun for Dayven to be back in his hometown since it holds so many great memories for him. We arrived home Sunday evening and the kids (and my mom!) were very happy to see us.
