Warmer weather finally!

We had a beautiful weekend frolicking outside. Saturday we headed out to the Rainmaker Rodeo. It's called the Rainmaker because every year it inevitably rains, but not this year. It was sunshine and blue skies as far as the eye could see. We started our morning with the kickoff parade  downtown. It didn't move fast enough or have quite enough action to hold Wyatt's interest for long, but it was fun just to get out and enjoy the nice weather. 

In the afternoon, we headed over to the rodeo were we saw plenty of horses and the Superdogs, a group of highly trained dogs who do all sorts of fun tricks and go through obstacle courses. There's a large section of the rodeo that is much like a fair (think fried mini-donuts and the Gravitron) which is always great for people watching. Almost all the "kiddie" rides required that you be 42" tall so Wyatt had to watch from the sidelines. 

We spent the rest of the weekend in our backyard. Wyatt played in his playhouse and filled the fountain with miscellaneous objects while I planted flowers and Dayven just puttered around fixing things and washing the cars. We ate all our meals outside, including my summertime favorite, burgers on the grill. Hooray for summer!
