It was another gorgeous weekend in Nashville. Temps in the mid 70's, low humidity and sunny with a nice breeze. We'll be longing for days like this in a few months when the humidity is so thick you can barely breathe. We decided to take advantage of it so the three of us went rollerblading at River Park. No, Wyatt doesn't have his own blades yet. He just cruised along with us in his jog stroller. We did about 3 miles taking turns pushing the kid. All that exercise made us really work up an appetite. One of the things that Dayven really misses about Illinois is the ability to get a good Chicago Dog. He talks about them all the time so you can imagine how excited he was to discover a new restaurant specializing in all things wiener opened up named "The Dog of Nashville", appropriately enough. We decided to go check it out for lunch. You can cover your dog in almost anything you can think of, like baked beans, salsa, guacamole, melted cheese and even bacon and eggs and any of the dogs can be deep fried for no extra charge. Hey, we are in the South, what do you expect? Pretty much everything on the menu looked like it should be served with a side of Tums, but that didn't stop us. When in Rome...

Dayven ordered the traditional Chi Town dog with that crazy neon relish, along with the Coney Island dog smothered in sauerkraut and onions sauteed in Tabasco sauce. I opted for the Y'all Dog, a Polish sausage stuffed in hollowed out french roll with a spicy mustard dipping sauce and we split a side of tater tots. Let the coagulation of the arteries begin! The whole meal was a bit of a gut buster, but we both gave it two thumbs up and we'll be returning next time the mood strikes.
