I have so many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, but my biggest blessings are my family.
Dayven took off work for American Thanksgiving (Canadian Thanksgiving is in October) so he could park himself on the couch on and watch football game after football game in a food-induced coma. It worked out great because Hadley could sit and watch it with him, while I spent the morning chaperoning Wyatt's class on his first ever field trip. We headed downtown to check out the Festival of Trees, a charity event to raise money for the university hospital. The Conference Centre is all decked out in a huge display of themed Christmas trees, gingerbread houses and holiday decor. There's entertainment, snacks and crafts for the children. All the kids in the class were dressed in matching orange t-shirts so they'd be easy to keep track of in the crowd. They all got to ride the school bus to and from the event (parents had to drive on their own). Watching him board that bus almost brought me to tears, but he LOVED it. It may have been the highlight of the field trip!
We came home and started the preparations for our big dinner. We had a huge feast with all the fixins', played with our kiddos, then after bedtime, we relaxed the evening away on the couch with a glass of wine. The perfect way to celebrate!
He couldn't peel his retinas away from the tree long enough to pose for a photo.

The bubble machine was a huge hit with all the kids.
Such a big boy on the bus, waiting for the bus driver to buckle him in!

Glad you all were able to celebrate Thanksgiving together. Sounds like a perfect day for all of you. By the way, I love Hadley's blue eyes.
Glad to see more pictures of Hadley. I can't believe Wyatt on the big school bus all by himself!! He looks so small. I'm sure it made him feel really BIG though..
Love the picture of Hadley in the Bumbo seat! Don't they think that they're big stuff when they sit in that chair?!
