and powdery, unlike the dirty slushy stuff we were used to in the Midwest. Dayven even shoveled a path in the snow from the back door to the hot tub, but that wasn't enough to entice my parents out into the "arctic" temps. We tried to stick to mostly indoor activities. We took Wyatt to see Santa, which turned out to be fairly uneventful. My mom
went with us to Wyatt's music class one day and we cooked, shopped, played Rummikub and put my dad to work on various fix-it projects around the house. Dayven is actually quite handy and can usually fix most things, but he's been so busy with work lately, he hasn't had time so we really appreciated my dad's help. We celebrated Christmas on Sunday since we won't see them again until Spring and Wyatt had fun opening up his new toys. And of course, they soaked up every minute with their little guy. Poppy put together the train set from cousin Holden and they had fun playing with that, until Wyatt crashed into the town and ripped the whole thing apart Godzilla-style. He still hasn't quite mastered the concept of passive play. We're going to miss them, but the house won't be empty yet. Charlie, Marta and Aniela arrive today for a visit and to attend some holiday parties with us this week.Poppy drawing a picture for Wyatt...
