Well, actually they're sweet and snugly, but don't tell them. We spent Halloween this year with my new friend Dorothy (whose husband works with Dayven) and Wyatt's new friend, Josh. This is the second time Dayven has had to miss Halloween for a business trip. He's been in Aurora, Illinois and Kentucky this week, returning home tomorrow. He'll be reading about Wyatt's night on this blog, like the rest of you. We had planned to take the boys to a Halloween party earlier in the day, but they weren't cooperating, napping at the most inconvenient time, so we took them out trick or treating later instead. We only hit a couple of houses, but we had fun. We stopped by one of the Cat houses and were invited in for a bowl of chili to warm up. The funniest part was listening to their daughter announce to her friends "We have AMERICAN oreos! Have some!!", while serving them up like they were a gourmet delicacy (they don't use any trans fats in their products here, so the Canadian version of your favorite junk foods have a slightly different taste and texture). It was a beautiful night and the neighborhood was bustling with trick or treaters. It was fun to see the kids running around having such a good time. Since Dayven was gone, I decided answering the door for trick or treaters and putting Wyatt to bed was just too much so I didn't even buy candy and left the lights out. When we got home, I saw groups of kids walking down our street and silently prayed no one would egg the house!

Happy Halloween!
