Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Yep, this is what Canadian winter looks like. We got easily a foot and a half of snow in the past 24 hours, maybe more. It's so dry and powdery, it's nearly impossible to shovel. Dayven did at least 3/4 of it before his back started to hurt and we had to tag off while I finished up. It was so heavy, you couldn't push the shovel more than a couple of feet before it was full. We didn't have enough energy left to do the deck in the back so Finley will have to find his own path. We were really wishing we had a snow blower today!
Our house number was completely covered...

The worst part is the huge drifts that blow back over every night.

Yes, I tried to do my part to help...

Poor Finley was practically buried in a snow drift in the backyard when we let him out, but he loves playing in it!
Our deck is normally about 2 feet off the ground and now the drifts are higher than the deck! Finley is so confused about where the deck ends and where the yard begins - we think he's now pooping on the deck!
Dayven shoveling for the SECOND time, later that night.Yes, it's still coming down!
A regular snow plow won't work when there's this much snow!
Hadley even came out to check the action. Wyatt stayed inside where it was nice and warm, listening to his audio books. He refused to come out because he hates the snow and complains about it every day when we're out in it. He's a southern boy at heart! Unlike her brother, Hadley kind of enjoyed herself. She was digging her fingers in the snow and examining the snow on her gloves. She kept walking around and falling down in it, laughing hysterically. I usually carry her when we're outside because it's easier. so this was her first real chance to walk in it and explore it first hand.
We suited her up in Wyatt's old snow clothes to play in the snow for the first time.
What IS this stuff!?
Mount Snow More is more than twice her size!
This is FUN!!
