It was a fun-filled weekend packed with festivities. Thursday night, the girls trekked up to Boulder the gorgeous Dushanbe Tea House for a bridal dinner and lingerie shower. It was
fun spending time with the other wives and we made some new friends too. The boys rented a stretch Escalade and headed into Denver for a night of debauchery. The stories are a little sketchy so we're still not sure exactly what happened, but they had fun. Friday, the boys went golfing and I got my fill of shopping, squeezing in all my favorite stores we don't have here in Canada. That evening, we all gathered at a local brewery to share some laughs over old times. Two of Karen's friends, Mary and Kathy, met us for cocktails and it was great to see them. We also had a chance to see some of Dayven's family. We met his grandfather, O.J. and his Aunt Barbara Ann and Uncle Jimmy for lunch one day. The wedding was a beautiful outdoor ceremony - between the mountains and the luscious grounds of the hotel, it was the perfect setting. We ate, drank, danced, laughed and got a little silly. We always have a good time when we're together and vow to not let so much time pass before we see each other again. By Sunday, we were tired, missing our kids and ready to head home. The kids had a great time with Nana and Poppy. Lots of attention and quality time - with daily walks to the neighborhood park, special meals and plenty of stories. Tomorrow we're all taking the train to Jasper for a little mountain get-a-way!
