Does it seem fitting that a fall ale is the opening picture? Pumpkin lattes and Octoberfest ale are part of the season. I love it. Crisp cool nights, leaves changing colors, autumn decor and cozy sweaters. The leaves are amazing here. I love living in a place that has a true fall.
We joined some friends Friday night for the evening hayride at Trax. It was a gorgeous night and we needed a re-do after our rain drenched experience earlier in the week. It was a beautiful crisp night with a big gorgeous moon. It's always kind of fun for the kids to be out after dark. The hayride takes you to the top of the hill where they have activities set up. The view of all the lights from the top was really amazing. The kids loved the corn maze at the top. Wyatt led us through the whole thing and despite our doubts, he actually got us out! All the animals were out - pigs, goats, a baby calf and the wildest llama we've ever seen. He was playing with the goats, chasing them, kicking up his heels and biting their tails. They were running for their lives, bleating their heads off. It was quite the show!

We're slowly adding Halloween decor to the front of the house. It's getting a little more hodge podge as it gets closer to Halloween. Dayven told me Martha Stewart would not approve, but the kids love it. We even decked the playset out as a haunted house with sheets from Goodwill and some fake body parts from the dollar store. It's great to see them using their imagination with it!

The weather is turning cooler and park outings are more scarce. We had a little playdate with Hadley's school friends at an indoor gymnastics place Friday. They were bouncing and flipping their little hearts out. There was a zipline, foam pit, slides, bars and rings. Tate is becoming a handful at these type of places because he has an agenda of his own. Thankfully he has a healthy amount of fear and doesn't launch himself off anything without my help. The kids had a ball and we'll definitely be adding this place to our list of winter activities.

| One of our favorite Halloween movies - "Nightmare before Christmas". They've watched it over and over and can recite it by heart. Their other favorite is "Spookley, the square pumpkin". |
