Spring has sprung!

There's a saying that goes "If you don't like the weather in Alberta, wait 5 minutes". How true this is. The weather is once again warm(er) and we took advantage of it by spending as much time outside as possible this weekend. We went to a cookout on Saturday night at our friend's house and the weather was perfect for sitting out on the deck. The kids had fun playing in the backyard, chasing the dogs and stuffing themselves into Josh's car clown-style.

Dayven had fun testing out his (early) birthday present, a new pressure washer. He has already used it several times - washing the cars, cleaning out the birdbath, spraying dried leaves out of the bushes, removing specks of dirt from the sidewalk... Clearly no ordinary garden hose would work for these tasks. They required a superduper, high-powered 3000 psi, skin-puncturing pressure washer. Boys and their toys!
Here's to all you mamas today! I hope you're having a wonderful Mother's Day. Wyatt let me sleep in a little today and Dayven made us banana pancakes for breakfast. We're just relaxing today and finishing packing for our trip. Wyatt and I leave tomorrow for Florida and Dayven is joining us over the weekend. The flip flops and sunscreen are ready to go and we can't wait to get there. Cedar Key, here we come!
